Hey, I am Ashley!

Welcome to a.d. esthetics! My absolute passion is supporting anyone that walks in with achieving optimal skin health. I truly believe that when our skin is functioning properly, it looks its absolute best.

Before I got started in this industry, I was overwhelmed with the amount of products and recommendations that were thrown out to solve my skin issues, back when the 10 step routines were the thing to do, no matter who you were. I also felt everything was so generalized, like my challenges were just the same as everyone else. It was a lot to absorb, too much to keep up with in my life, and I did not like the “one-size fits all” approach.

When I started seeing an esthetician for the first time, I loved my treatments with her! She was holistic back before that was a thing and helped me take care of my skin using more natural skincare products. And while I really loved the results from seeing her regularly, I found myself loving the entire experience she created more! I loved the calming environment of facials, the aromas, the dim lighting, the music, all of it. That sparked an interest in skincare that has never gone away!

After completing my professional training at Aveda in 2013, working at various spas and salons, as well as becoming an educator for rising estheticians, I found myself shifting from maximalism to more minimalism in skincare. Through my continuing education and training, I realized and experienced that our skin can function on its own - all we need to do is support it in that process!

While the majority of the skincare industry seems focused on perfectionism, I am finding it quite unrealistic, extremely inaccessible and heavily pushing products with unnecessary ingredients and fillers. I started to focus on how we can age well, how we can look and feel good in our own skin, whatever age and stage it's going through. This starts by being more conscious of what we put in and on our bodies, helping others feel better about their skin, and recognizing that optimal skin health doesn’t need to be complicated.

a.d. esthetics launched in June 2021, creating custom experiences that works with each person’s concerns as an individual, allowing them to receive the skincare essentials to boost the health of their skin and provide a space to rejuvenate and take care of themselves.

I believe that skincare is highly individual. There is no “one size fits all” solution to your personal skin challenges. I also believe that when your skin is functioning optimally, it looks its absolute best and that is what I strive for during each session, getting your skin healthier. This doesn’t require a 12-step system or weekly treatments; in fact taking 60-90 minutes a month with a service using professional, natural products allows you to focus on yourself and truly replenish. Rejuvenation is key for skin recovery and a.d. esthetics works towards building your skin’s optimal health and your overall well-being!
