New Fall Service: Microneedling

Did you know that the skin is our largest organ? It does so much for us, protecting our internal organs and parts from harm, it is the front line in shielding us from harsh temperatures, chemicals and bacteria. So it is no wonder that over the years our skin may change and we may find ourselves seeking ways to rejuvenate our skin to its former glory.

For those looking to boost the complexion of your facial skin, look no further than my new service of MICRONEEDLING! This incredible facial has the ability and, dare I say, power to heal and help you look younger. Let me tell you what you need to know and why this should be your next booking!

Your skin’s newest, best friend!

What is Microneedling? How does is work?

Microneedling (AKA Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Microchanneling), creates tiny channels in the skin that induce collagen production. Using a wand or pen-like tool with sterilized needles, the technique pricks at your skin, creating said channels of newly created collagen which help heal the area impacted and smooth out skin.

Microneedling can support the following skincare concerns:

  • Wrinkles

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Mild Rosacea

  • Scars (acne, thermal, surgical)

  • Lax Skin

  • UV Damage

What are the benefits of Microneedling?

With natural collagen induction therapy through Microneedling, this facial can fight against acute and/or chronic aging because the creation and induction of collagen is controlled through the stimulation. The channels created also allow for high absorption of active ingredients, so all products used in the service will have the highest impact available, which allow:

  • Reduced fine lines + wrinkles and tighten lax/sagging skin.

  • Scar diminishment (including acne + burn)

  • Increased overall skin smoothness by evening out skin tone + texture

Even though sterilized needles are used, it is an extremely safe and painless procedure with no permanent damage made to the skin. It is even safe for those with thin skin and individuals who have had laser resurfacing in the past.

And while laser treatments could give similar clients the same results, microneedling is less expensive and more effective!

Who are good candidates?

Your skin health is my top priority and my specific facial service is a holistic process! This treatment depends on your health in order to obtain the best results, and the healthier you are, the better your results will be. For optimal results with my Microneedling Facial, a few considerations need to be in place with clients:

  • Healthy lifestyle: This can effect healing time and results! You don’t need to be the epitome of health (who is?!), however taking good care of yourself and your skin is important with this service.

  • Professional home care routine: If you don’t have one yet, it’s okay! I will help guide you on what is best for the health of your skin.

  • Returning Clients: It is so important that I already know you and how to best care for YOU, so unfortunately this is not a first time facial service. Come see me for one of my other services, build a connection (don’t be scared, I’m awesome!), and let me know what concerns and improvements you’d like to make. Then we can add microneedling!

  • Commitment to proper post-care instructions: This ensures we’re achieving the desired results more quickly and effectively!

Unfortunately, microneeding is NOT the best service and treatment for:

  • Active acne - Microneedling can spread bacteria leading to additional breakouts and we don’t want that! Once breakouts are under control, this is a great treatment for evening out skin tone and texture!

  • Active pustular or nodular rosacea

  • Anti-coagulant medication or blood thinning supplements (garlic, ginkgo, Vit E, St. John’s Wart)

  • Active eczema or psoriasis in area of treatment

  • Skin cancer

  • Cannot microneedle over raised moles or warts

If you are looking for a treatment to help heal and improve damage to your skin, then microneedling just might be the service you are looking for. If you have questions or concerns on if this is the right/best facial service for you, connect with me. My mission and goal is to help my clients achieve the results they are looking for and GLOW!
