the magic of gua sha therapy

Shhh… let me zen out a little more…

I cannot express how much my clients love the best-selling gua sha technique during their facial treatment. It’s an opportunity for them to experience a technically-advanced massage therapy that allows for skin and body healing and recovery, which enhances the effectiveness of their facial results.

Don’t believe me?? Just look through all the remarkable skin benefits from gua sha therapy!

  • Gua Sha is an amazing technique that’s been around for thousands of years. It has been a tool for people to experience self healing. It’s recently been popularized as a professional treatment for good reasons!

The advance technical therapy I bring to all my facial services is the CJB Gua Sha Facial Fusion. This is a next-level facial therapy that brings about a fundamental change in the skin by clearing stagnation and accumulation in the channels enabling the renewal of the lymph, activating circulation, stimulating cell activity and allowing the regeneration of the facial tissue.

  • The CJB Gua Sha Facial Fusion is an integrated facial rejuvenation therapy based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Traditional Thai Medicine (TTM) and the profound cell renewal and life-sustaining importance of Manual Lymphatic Drainage. All are supported by the foundational importance of connective tissue manipulation, which helps in maintaining youth and vitality.

  • The CJB Gua Sha Facial Fusion therapy achieves immediately noticeable results by combining a unique blend of facial massage therapies that clears noxious accumulation, releases deep-seated tension and promotes the free flow of vital nutrients to feed the skin and repattern the way it ages. Some of these results include the decrease of fine lines, deep wrinkles, dark circles, puffy eyes and sagging skin in appearances.

By increasing movement through massage and restoring inner mobility, the skin is able to naturally clear deleterious obstructions that lead to acne, rosacea, puffiness, dark circles and sensitivities. By igniting this natural healing power, the skin flourishes, develops a fresh healthy glow that radiates from within and results in long-term benefits.

Gua sha is an effective facial massage modality that directly affects the connective tissue and muscles to help untangle and iron out the fascia that is bound with tension and traps accumulated wastes from stressors of daily life. It helps unwind the tissue, restores mobility and creates space for the optimal flow of blood, oxygen, lymph and nutrients.

    • Renew facial contour - tone, firm and lift sagging skin

    • Reduce inflammation - puffiness and dark circles

    • Brighten the complexion and create healthy radiant glow

    • Minimize fine lines and soften deep wrinkles

    • Diminish blemishes, redness and skin sensitivities

    • Stimulate cell activity and production of collagen and elastin

    • Regenerate facial tissue - restore vitality

    • Relieve tension - reduce pain

    • Enhance the skin’s ability to “breathe”

    • Feed the skin and increase ability to absorb vital nutrients

    • Purify tissue - free accumulation of waste

    • Promote muscle contraction - oxygenate skin

    • Soothe and vent the channel system

    • Regulate the free flow of qi and blood

    • Harmonize yin and yang

Gua sha therapy helps achieve firmer, brighter, and more even skin. There’s an absolute glow to the skin from all of the nutrient rich blood circulating through the skin after the massage. It also helps reduce the tension and tightness in the shoulders, neck and scalp. My clients literally say WOW when they get up from the table - it is that good!

**note: gua sha with fillers and botox

Gua sha can cause the body to metabolize fillers and botox so the effect will be shortened, and there is a risk of moving the injectables to other areas of the face. I can work gently around and below the area of the fillers and focus on other areas other than the injection site.
